Purpose of Recruitment for Student Volunteers
We believe that the students will gain an interest and awareness of participation in economic activities towards choosing a future occupation, as well as learn vocational views which is essential in future.
Role of Student Volunteer
- Assist speakers(ex.keynote speakers)
- Assist the affairs of the secretariat
- Assist administrative operations
- Guide and interpret for exhibitions
- Guide, interpret, conduct and accompany excursions etc.
Number of Recruitment
about 80
Targeted Student Volunteer Applicants
Students of 18 years old and over at the time of application,and those who are either one as shown below (including those who have returned from abroad, and students studying abroad (from Japan to abroad/ from abroad to Japan), regardless of sex)
- Junior college students
- University students
- Postgraduate students
- Vocational school students etc.
Applicant Requirements for Student Volunteer
Those who meet the targeted Student Volunteers Application above should also meet all of the following requirements (1-5):
- They should be disciplined, mentally and physically fit, and cooperative.
- They should be highly interested in and motivated towards women’s involvement in economic activities, entrepreneurship, and career development.
- They should be capable enough to speak at a daily conversation level in both Japanese and English with no problem.
- They should be available for more than two days during WLN operational days.
- They should be able to take part in pre-orientation (to be held in the beginning of September in Tokyo and Osaka).
※ Should there be a number of applicants, priority will be given to the following additional considerations:
- TOEIC or TOEFL score
- Ability to speak more than one major language at a daily conversation level proficiency other than English (Korean, Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai, Malay, Indonesian, Russian, Spanish etc.)
Schedule for Student Volunteer Application
Submission of application form: Tuesday, June 1st Wednesday, June 30th
Screening
- Documentation: Screening will be conducted based on your application form. Results of screening will be sent to all applicants by e-mail no later than Wednesday, July 7th (tentative).
- Interview: Based on the above Documentation screening, interviews will be held on Saturday, July 10th (tentative) in Tokyo, and on Sunday, July 11th (tentative) in Osaka. Results of interviews (notification on acceptance) will be sent to all interviewees by e-mail no later than Friday, July 23rd(tentative).
- Pre-orientation: Pre-orientation will be held in the beginning of September in Tokyo and Osaka. Detailed information on time, date and place will be provided following acceptance notice.
※Pre-orientation will be conducted in Japanese. Materials will be also prepared in Japanese.
(Expenses Regarding Student Volunteer Participation)
Box meal for lunches and dinners will be provided on WLN volunteer operational days.However, volunteers are expected to cover their transportation and accommodation expenses by themselves. We also recommend taking out insurance against unexpected accidents or sickness.
